Effective Communication & Effective Listening (NEW)
Communication is a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system of symbols, signs and behaviors. It takes both a sender and a receiver, and is the joint responsibility of both parties. Communication is an important ingredient in building an effective team in the workplace. Attend this training and you will be able to identify your own communication style and the style of others. The ability to understand the different communication styles will improve your opportunity to get your message across and will improve the receiver’s chances of understanding the intended meaning of your communication. The training will also look at the different types of non-verbal communication.
Listening is one of the most important communication skills. Without careful listening, messages often are misinterpreted and people do not feel valued or understood. Too often people take listening for granted and do not pay enough attention to the speaker. This training provides an activity in effective listening to assess your own listening skills.
